Streamwood VFW post holding military concert Saturday

VFW Post 5151 in Streamwood and the Hanover Park Park District are presenting a “Tribute to Armed Forces Rock ’n’ Roll Concert” 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Hanover Park Community Center, 1919 Walnut Ave. The action will take place inside the facility to shield attendees from the heat. Fred Hossfeld of VFW post said the event’s emcee will be Joe Cantafio, a singer and guitarist. His band, the 101st Rock Division, will perform along with the Madhatter Band and the Theodous Project. Tickets are available for $6 at the door.
