Credit seminar in Streamwood

State Rep. Fred Crespo, a Hoffman Estates Democrat, will be holding a seminar in conjunction with the state treasurer’s office to inform people of the importance of maintaining a good credit score and how they can achieve good credit from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Poplar Creek Library, 1405 S. Park Blvd., Streamwood.

The seminar will include the importance of consumer credit, credit scores and details of a credit report. The seminar will also cover how to correct errors in a credit report as well as steps to build or rebuild your credit. In addition to information about credit scores and reports, the seminar will also include how consumers can prevent their credit from being ruined by identity theft.
