Kaneland health fair:Kaneland High School is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair today in its east gymnasium. High school students will attend during the day, and the public can attend from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be more than 30 booths covering health topics. Free admission. The school is at Keslinger and Meredith roads, Maple Park.Special education tutoring:Aurora University's College of Education Tutoring Center will begin offering free tutoring for special education students in grades one to 12 during the spring semester. A limited number of students are being accepted for tutoring sessions that begin 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the Institute for Collaboration at 407 S. Calumet Ave., Aurora. Sessions end April 28 with parent-teacher conferences. Graduate education students who are teachers or special-education teacher candidates provide the tutoring. The group trains shelter dogs to be service animals. There will be a "Flairtenders" bar-tending contest. TGIFriday's will offer a free appetizer to anyone who brings in a donation of dry Iams dog food or dry Purina Dog Chow. There will be prize raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and several drink specials to benefit Paws Giving Independence.
