The learning curve continues for Christian LibertySep 20, 2014 5:23 PM - In spite of a 34-0 loss to North Shore Country Day in a Northeastern Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday in Arlington Heights, Christian Liberty football coach Dave Daniels was buoyed by his team's performance. "Our kids never quit," Daniels said. "I have had coaches in our league coming up to me and telling me that all year. We are very young and still learning the game. And we need to learn to how to win."

Varner combined with Jack Lipp for 50 points as the Wildcats shot past North Shore County Day 73-58 at Maine South in Park Ridge as part of the Maine West Thanksgiving Tournament. Lipp had a game-high 26 points and 9 rebounds, while Varner tossed in 24 points with 4 rebounds. Jack Deichl contributed 9 points and 9 boards.
