Some field turf to be removed, making way for foundations of new Rosemont salt dome
Mar 12, 2015 6:18 PM - Crews will be peeling back recently-installed synthetic field turf near the Barry Street Recreational Center in Rosemont to provide space for a new village salt storage dome. The new 61-foot diameter dome at 7048 Barry St. is replacing the aging Rosemont salt facility that had its back wall collapse over the winter when crews tried to pack it with too much salt. -
Rosemont to install hundreds of security cameras at village venues
Jan 17, 2015 7:31 AM - Rosemont will spend about $571,000 a year to lease hundreds of security cameras that will be installed at several public venues. The cameras will be placed throughout the village's 200,000-square-foot entertainment district and multilevel parking garage, village hall, Allstate Arena, convention center, Rosemont Elementary School and Lange Park.
