Give Trump credit for oil and gas boom

It's incredible that President Obama would take credit for the recent oil and gas boom of America. Recently, Obama spoke at a gala for Rice University's Baker Institute and appeared to take credit for our nation's oil and gas boom.

Data from the Congressional Research Service shows that shares of crude oil and natural gas produced on federal lands dropped from 2009 to 2017, even as production on nonfederal lands greatly increased. According to the Institute for Energy Research, production on federal lands has not been able to fully recover from Obama administration policies that resulted in a moratorium on offshore energy permitting and long delays in approving drilling permits.

One simply needs to review Obama's record on energy. He promoted policies designed to curb fossil-fuel usage and production, including the Clean Power Plan, the federal methane rule, federal restrictions on hydraulic fracturing, the rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline and the Paris climate accord. His assault against the coal industry was severe.

In reality, the one who should get credit for the oil and gas boom is President Donald Trump. Through his leadership, he has sought to neutralize the Obama administration's energy agenda by pulling out of the Paris agreement, repealing the fracking restrictions and rolling back the methane rule. Unfortunately, mainstream media refuses to acknowledge Trump's substantial achievements.

Numerous policies from the Obama administration were not in America's best interests. That's because they were globalist policies and purposely designed to be detrimental to America's sovereignty. Trump is for America as a nation and purposely for her prosperity.
