GreenMan Theatre to host 'Holiday and Winter Stories' Dec. 11

Searching for an old-fashioned way to get in the holiday spirit this December?

Look no further than GreenMan Theatre Troupe's "Holiday and Winter Stories" at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave.

"We're trying to evoke a laid-back feeling of this time of year and the holidays," said Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff, event director. "If you need time to relax, de-stress and enjoy something a little bit more old-timey, then this is for you."

Attendees will be treated to a seasonal assortment of stories, songs and poems celebrating Christmas, Hannukah and winter at this free event.

Performers for "Holiday and Winter Stories" are Cassy Beach, Marilyn Connolly, Patricia Cooley, Becca Easley, Debbie Proska, Steven Soria, Thomas-Davidoff and Larry Vietzky. Beach is also serving as music director.

Walk-ins for the event are welcome.

In its 20th season, GreenMan Theatre Troupe is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to provide a source of cultural enrichment and pride for the community by presenting diverse, quality productions and providing opportunities for personal growth in the theatrical arts.

GreenMan Theatre Troupe has been presenting plays in Elmhurst since being founded in 2003. Past productions include "Dracula," "Pride and Prejudice" and "Doubtful Abbey."

GreenMan Theatre Troupe also offers classes and workshops for members and the community and welcomes new members and participants in all aspects of theatre production. GreenMan programs are partially supported by Explore Elmhurst, as well as other individual and corporate donations.
