Elgin Vineyard hosts Holy Spirit Conference

Ken Fish of Orbis Ministries returns to Vineyard Church of Elgin to speak at a Holy Spirit Conference on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-2, and at the Sunday service on Dec. 3.

Fish led a packed-out conference last year at Elgin Vineyard, and Pastor Tom Severson is excited to have him back again for more worship, teaching and prayer.

"Ken has a powerful ministry teaching people how to operate in the gifts of the Spirit," Severson said. "He speaks to the Church's need to be mighty in both the Word of God and in Holy Spirit ministry at a time when our tendency is to be focused on one or the other."

With degrees from Princeton University, Fuller Theological Seminary and UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management, Fish has more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive with Fortune 500 corporations. He has served as an advisor to senior political leaders in many countries.

Prior to his business career, Fish worked full-time at Vineyard Ministries International, researching and ghost-writing for the late John Wimber. He has traveled extensively as a conference speaker, teaching on topics ranging from leadership development and business formation to spiritual formation and church growth.

Also a widely regarded expert on prophecy and healing, he has appeared on The Eric Metaxas Show, Premier and the Charisma Media Network and has spoken at The International Association of Healing Rooms.

The conference is open to everyone, and admission is $35. Hours are 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.

On Sunday, Dec. 3, the service begins at 10 a.m. Those who come early can grab a cup of coffee or tea, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Elgin Vineyard is located at 220 Division St.
