JDRF Illinois One Dream Gala returns to Chicago Dec. 9

JDRF, the leading global type 1 diabetes research organization, is hosting its annual "One Dream Gala" in Chicago to power breakthroughs for the type 1 diabetes community.

On Saturday, Dec. 9, more than 1,800 Gala organizers, sponsors, attendees and volunteers will come together at McCormick Place for another year of creating positive change.

The program will feature a silent auction, one-of-a-kind live auction, seated dinner, stories from the T1D community and award-winning live entertainment.

It will be 5:30 to 11 p.m. at the McCormick Place and Arie Crown Theater, 2301 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive

The gala is one of Chicago's largest and most recognized philanthropic events that aims to support the millions of Americans living with type 1 diabetes and fundraise for life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat the disease.

Last year's event earned a record $16 million in support of the type 1 diabetes community, the highest-grossing fundraising event in JDRF's national history.

This year, attendees will enjoy a live performance by four-time Grammy Award nominated musical group, Goo Goo Dolls.

Special guests include Gala co-chairs Kayne and Alicea Grau; this year's Fund A Cure family, Brian and Emilee Wolfe; and JDRF fundraising chair Glen Tullman.

Tickets are $625 per person. For tickets or information, visit www.jdrf.org/illinois/events/one-dream-gala/.

Volunteers are also needed.

If you can't attend the gala, consider a "Fund A Cure" donation, which is 100% tax-deductible and funds vital research. This gift helps JDRF continue the work of bringing life-changing treatments and therapies to the millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
