60 local vendors expected at Harmony Fest and Taste of Arlington Heights

Harmony Fest returns to Harmony Park and downtown Arlington Heights from 5-11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 and 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30. Harmony Fest includes the Taste of Arlington Heights which includes food, drinks and booths hosted by 60 local vendors on Vail Avenue and Campbell Street.

Harmony Fest is brought to you by the Arlington Heights Special Events Commission and the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, and marks the end of the 2023 Arlington Alfresco dining season.

Live music in Harmony Park, provided by the village of Arlington Heights, will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept.

29, with Ultrabeat, followed at 8:30 p.m. by Mike & Joe. On Saturday, School of Rock will begin at 3 p.m., followed by Hello Weekend at 5 p.m., and Wedding Banned at 8:30 p.m. Music will end at 11 p.m. both nights.

The Nak4 Orthodontics Kids' Zone will provide fun and free activities from 5-7 p.m. on Friday and 4-7 p.m. on Saturday. The Kids' Zone will be located on West Campbell near the Metropolis Performance Art Centre, and will include free family entertainment, games and giveaways. Arlington Heights Police, Fire and Public Works departments will be present and residents of all ages are encouraged to stop by their booths.

Guests are encouraged to plan ahead for parking by utilizing one of the village's nine nearby parking lots, including three parking garages. The Vail Street garage will be accessible from Sigwalt Street and is anticipated to experience congestion. Alternative free parking options include the underground parking garage on Evergreen Avenue, the commuter parking lots located north and south of the train tracks, the parking garage at village hall, and the parking

lot on Sigwalt Street, just south of village hall. Parking in private lots is not allowed and violators are subject to being towed.
