Two Baird & Warner agents selected as hosts of 'The American Dream Selling Chicago' TV show
Two agents at Baird & Warner, Illinois' largest family-owned independent real estate services company, have been selected as the newest hosts for "The American Dream," an Emmy-nominated, nationally syndicated TV show. Titled "Selling Chicago," the series features North Shore-based Baird & Warner agent Emily McClintock and Northwest suburban Baird & Warner agent Maria Devins hosting lifestyle, culture and real estate segments in their respective markets.
"Throughout our 168-year history, Baird & Warner has prided itself on our agents' expertise and deep connections to their communities," said Laura Ellis, chief strategy officer and president of residential sales at Baird & Warner. "It's fantastic to see not only one, but two of our agents recognized for this unique chance to share their knowledge and passion with 'The American Dream' audience and be a voice for Chicago's North Shore and Northwest suburbs and all these communities have to offer."
Both McClintock and Devins were hand-picked by the show's executive producer and Inman News' "Most Influential in Real Estate" nominee, Craig Sewing. They were selected not only for their professional expertise but also the familiarity that comes from living and raising a family in their respective communities. McClintock began working as a realtor in Chicago's North Shore immediately after she graduated from college and is based in Baird & Warner's Evanston office. Devins has been a Baird & Warner agent in the Northwest suburbs for nearly 17 years and lives in Palatine.
"Working as a realtor is more than just facilitating transactions. It's also about understanding and being a part of communities," said McClintock. "As a host for 'The American Dream,' I get the chance to bring my knowledge and passion for the North Shore communities, where I live and work, to a larger audience and in a positive and uplifting way that complements my work."
In addition to providing their intimate understanding of the Chicagoland area, McClintock and Devins also write, direct and produce their own segments. Devins said her prior experience in film, TV and cosmetics helped her understand how hosting "The American Dream" is not only a unique marketing opportunity but also a way to better serve her clients and community.
"Taking on an opportunity like hosting 'The American Dream' helps me do better on both a personal and professional level, and that allows me to continue delivering an exceptional experience to my clients," Devins said. "I'm very proud of the business I've grown with the very basic principles that my dad taught me long ago: treating my clients like I'm breaking bread with them at my own dinner table. My honesty, guidance and protection are what earn and maintain their trust."
"The American Dream Selling Chicago" airs Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. on The CW and can be streamed any time on Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Roku and YouTube, with new segments from Devins and McClintock airing every other month. Viewers can get a sneak peek at the Baird & Warner hosts' first episodes online. In her segment, Devins tours Barrington, where she visits Sweet Spot candy shop and speaks with Doreen Thomas, a homeowner in Barrington Hills. McClintock takes audiences through Evanston, with visits to a boutique wine shop and a historic landmark.
