Fox Valley Special Recreation Foundation to host Beach Party Bingo Aug. 25
Tickets are now on sale for Fox Valley Special Recreation Foundation's third annual Beach Party Bingo on Friday, Aug. 25. It will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave. in Aurora.
Proceeds from the event support the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association's initiatives to help participants with disabilities make new friends, experience new activities, and become part of a supportive community.
Tickets are $50 for individuals, age 21 or older; and $30 for those under 21.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner and drinks, with bingo and chances for raffle prizes throughout the night. Reuland's Food Service will provide the dinner.
Open bar will be available from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Photo IDs will be checked at the door.
Raffle tickets will be available soon to purchase your raffle tickets in advance. Prizes include a Blackstone flat-top grill, two-person inflatable kayak, Solo Stove Yukon fire pit, FVSRA early bird registration, $350 in local dining, two opportunities to name the new FVSRA bus, and more.

The Fox Valley Special Recreation Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was established in 2010. Its role is to establish and foster support from individuals, businesses and organizations in an effort to further the goals and ideals of the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association.
The Fox Valley Special Recreation Association serves the park districts of Batavia, Fox Valley, Geneva, Oswegoland, St. Charles, and Sugar Grove, and the Village of South Elgin Parks and Recreation department.
Goals include to promoting self-confidence, increasing self-esteem, encouraging independence, championing skill development, and establishing ties to friends and to the community through high quality and low cost programming for individuals with disabilities.
