Grass Lake seventh grader is state champ in long jump

Logan Lennon, a student at Grass Lake School in Antioch, double medaled at the recent IESA Class 1A/2A State Track & Field Meet.

Despite having a shortened track season due to the weather and frequent meet cancellations, he qualified at sectionals and upheld the responsibility as the single representative for Grass Lake School in the state competition made up of more than 2,000 athletes.

Previously ranking at fourth in state last year, Lennon showed up with the determination to beat his previous accomplishment. He succeeded in his performance by ranking first in seventh grade boys long jump and set a state record coming in second place in the seventh grade boys 100-meter dash.
