Bob Langlois receives D. Ray Wilson Award at Judson University

On May 12, Robert Langlois received the D. Ray Wilson Award at the Judson University Prayer Breakfast.

Langlois is active in leading Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Elgin as its treasurer. In recent years he has led an outstanding cooperative arrangement among 12 local churches to participate in a Soup Kitchen in Lind Hall of the church.

 

He retired as director of international relations at Motorola Inc. He served for 13 years as Chair of the Elgin Zoning Commission, as a board member for Food for Greater Elgin, and as chair and vice -chair of the Elgin Cooperative Ministry. He serves on the Elgin Police Department's social team and has served on Gail Borden Public Library's Community Board's Census board. He is often the "boots on the ground" for many food drives and lunch programs which benefit others.

The D. Ray Wilson Volunteer Service Award is presented annually during the prayer breakfast to the candidate who has contributed to the greater good within the greater Elgin community by voluntarily serving others' physical, emotional, intellectual, or spiritual needs.
