Barbecue for a cause: Oswego church to host Habitat for Humanity fundraiser April 29

Oswego Presbyterian Church will host a barbecue fundraiser Saturday, April 29.

The drive-through event will benefit Montgomery-based Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity and the church's Kenya mission.

5-Bs Catering will serve meals in the church parking lot.

Meal options are two pork chops, a chicken quarter or a combination.

Sides are coleslaw, baked beans and a dinner roll.

It will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the church, 1976 Route 25.

Part of the proceeds will help sponsor Habitat's Green Freedom subdivision, a 17-home, $6 million, net zero energy development on Aurora's far west side.

Groundbreaking is set for Tuesday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at 1921 Jericho Road in Aurora.

Meal tickets are $16 in advance or $18 at the door.
