'Housing 101' panel to explore Aurora affordable housing options

"Housing 101: The Need for Affordable Housing in Our Communities," a panel discussion and information meeting, will explore Aurora-area housing options.

The event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May St. in Aurora.

The public is invited. Admission and parking are free. A box lunch will be served.

Wesley UMC and the Association for Individual Development of Aurora are the co-sponsors.

Panelists scheduled are Lore Baker, AID president and CEO; Joe Jackson, executive director, Hesed House homeless shelter, Aurora; and Rick Guzman, executive director, The Neighbor Project, Aurora.

According to an AID release, this discussion and informational seminar will be on the need to create more affordable housing options in southern Kane County and the City of Aurora.
