Glenside Library hosts sixth annual STEAM Fest April 1

Glenside Library in Glendale Heights is hosting its sixth annual STEAM Fest on Saturday, April 1.

It will be 1 to 4 p.m. at the library, 25 E. Fullerton Ave. During this free event, local area organizations will showcase some of the latest innovations in science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

Notable exhibitors include Chicago Area LEGO User Group, College of DuPage Physics Department, College of DuPage Welding Department, DuPage Children's Museum, Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, Illinois 4-H Science Ambassadors, Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum, and Suburban Music.

There also will be two special performances of "Getting Excited About Science" at 1:30 and 3 p.m.

"The Fest wouldn't be possible without the many organizations and businesses that are participating this year," explains Public Services Manager Jill Martorano. "Each one offers a very special opportunity to experience how important science, technology, engineering, art and math are in our everyday lives."
