Ben & Jerry's Naperville celebrates Free Cone Day and supports local firefighters

On Monday, April 3, Ben & Jerry's Naperville Scoop Shop on Water Street in downtown Naperville will celebrate Free Cone Day, a Ben & Jerry's tradition dating back to 1979.

The Naperville location will offer free cones between noon and 8 p.m. with the scooping assistance of Naperville firefighters.

Free Cone Day went global in 2015 and in 2022 Ben & Jerry's gave away over 1,000,000 scoops around the world.

"This annual tradition is our way of thanking our fans for their continued support," says Tom O'Toole, of Ben & Jerry's Naperville. " We are honoring our Naperville Fire Department by giving all donations to Naperville Professional Firefighters for a Cause.

The day will also feature music, raffles and face painting for kids. Fans and friends can enjoy their favorite flavor or discover a new scoop to love. If tradition holds, be prepared to make new friends while you wait in line. All other Water Street retailers and restaurants will be open to welcome you to shop, dine and enjoy all that Water Street has to offer.

The Naperville Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop offers cups, cones, pints, sundaes, shakes, slushes, cakes, and even doggie treats. The shop also offers take out and Door Dash delivery, ice cream catering and gift cards. To discover your perfect Ben & Jerry's flavor, take the quiz at www.benjerry.com.
