Books, movies and more at Gail Borden Library Foundation book sale March 15-19

Stock up on your favorite books without emptying your wallet at the Gail Borden Library Foundation book sale on Wednesday to Sunday, March 15-19.

Thousands of items for all ages will be for sale including coffee table books, new fiction, mysteries, science fiction, romances, biographies, cookbooks, children picture books and more.

Visitors will find a large selection of Wi, Wii U and PlayStation games along with many DVD sets.

Audiobooks, DVDs, CDs and puzzles also will be for sale. Most items will be priced at only $1 to $2.

Preview night will take place from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, for those who want to be one of the first to browse and buy.

Admission is $10 to preview night. The regular sale will follow with free admission and will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the main library, 270 N. Grove Ave. in downtown Elgin.

Proceeds from the sale go toward exhibits and programs for the library and community.
