Geneva Women's Club accepting registration and sponsorships for annual golf outing

The Geneva Women's Club is opening registration for its annual "Golfing 4 Charitee" golf outing. This year's event will be held as a noon shotgun start on Monday, June 5, at the Hawk Country Club in St. Charles. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

The annual event supports the nonprofit organization's eight core area charities: CASA Kane County, Fox Valley Hands of Hope, Lazarus House, Mutual Ground, TriCity Family Services, Tri-City Health Partnership, LivingWell Cancer Resource Center, and Geneva Unit District 304 schools.

Last year, the Geneva Women's Club raised more than $22,000 for its eight core charities.

"This is the second year we will be hosting a golf event and we're thrilled," said Yvonne Herzhoff, club president. "The need for services is huge in the communities and organizations we support. I'm delighted we had so much participation from the community last year and know this year will be even more popular."

Registration is limited to 100 golfers.

Early bird registration is now open until Sunday, April 30, with $160 per golfer or $640 for a foursome. After April 30, the fee is $175 or $700 for a foursome. Sign up at genevawomensclub.org.

Ticket price includes 18 holes of golf "best ball scramble style" at the private Hawk Country Club course, cart, and a box lunch.

For those who opt for other sports and want to join in on the fun, the 19th Hole Happy Hour is available starting at 4 p.m. for $40, which includes appetizers and a cash bar.

A variety of sponsorships are available, from $350 hole sponsors to $3,000 Platinum Sponsors and include various types of signage, website presence and recognition.

The day of the event also includes a silent auction, and the club welcomes any donations of goods or services. Geneva area businesses are encouraged to sponsor. Those interested may directly contact Betsy Adamowski at betsy adamowski@gmail.com or Barb Siegman at siegmann@att.net.

The Geneva Women's Club is celebrating 83 years of service to Geneva and surrounding communities. The nonprofit organization has approximately 73 members, meets monthly at various locations, and has groups for book clubs, volunteer opportunities, coffee, and bunco.
