Two Rivers Head Start names new executive director

The board of directors of Two Rivers Head Start Agency recently announced the appointment of Kelly Neidel as the Aurora agency's new executive director.

Two Rivers Head Start Agency is a nonprofit dedicated to alleviating the effects of poverty by providing education, support services and opportunities for children, families and communities.

The agency's board of directors elevated Kelly Neidel, who served as interim executive director following the passing of Diane Lacey, to executive director last month. Neidel's leadership and depth of experience in policy and mandates will play a crucial role for Two Rivers Head Start Agency in our success in the years to come.

As an early childhood education professional, Neidel has had many roles over her 30 plus years with Two Rivers Head Start Agency. Beginning as a volunteer she has risen through the ranks by hard work, dedication and perseverance as a teacher assistant, teacher, center designee to center director and program education manager. Neidel has developed and monitored center and staff schedules. Developed a Classroom Compliance checklist to ensure mandates are being followed. She has assessed center needs and planed professional development plans to meet the needs of the teaching and administrative staff. Kelly has supervised centers, ensuring DCFS Licensing Standards and Head Start Performance Standards are being met.

Please join us in welcoming Kelly Neidel on her new adventure! Kelly can be reached via email at Kneidel@trhsa.org or at (630) 264-1444.
