Aurora Central Catholic students to stage original one-act plays Jan. 13-14

Aurora Central Catholic High School students will perform seven original one-act plays they wrote and are directing on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 13-14.

An 11th annual "Weekend of One Acts" will be staged at the school, 1255 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora. The public is invited.

General admission tickets, available at the door, are $5; a limited number of reserved seats are $10 each. Reserved seats may be ordered at auroracentral.com.

Concessions will also be available for shows.

Phil Nohl, ACC drama and choir director, said "Students will perform one acts directed and performed by students.

"Additionally, almost all plays were written by students as well."

The play lineup includes "The Lonesome Road," written by David Chambers and co-directed by Chambers and Jillian File; "Which Witch is Worse?," written by Danielle Tranchita and co-directed by Tranchita and Jonathan Vega; "Peer Pressure," written by Aria Miller and co-directed by Miller and Marissa Masciola; "Beautiful Dream," written and directed by Dany Nunez; "Not Another Teen Drama," written by Joe Lewis and co-directed by Lewis and Alaina Lech; "MGA News," written and co-directed by Mary Grace Czerak and Amelia Lohrey; and " Post it Notes," directed by Fiona Arado.
