Seigle Foundation awards $142.5K in housing grants

The Seigle Foundation is proud to announce the award of $142,500 in grants to the following housing-related organizations: Association for Individual Development for its Wildwood Commons Permanent Supportive Housing project, CASA Kane County, Community Crisis Center, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northern Illinois, and Fellowship Housing Corporation.

Throughout 2022, the Seigle Foundation has awarded a total of $565,500 in grants to nonprofits throughout the Elgin/Dundee area, the geographic focus of the foundation.

Mark Seigle stated, "My involvement as a board member and funder of Seigle Foundation has brought great joy to myself and fellow board members, Karina Nava and Robin Seigle. We are elated to be able to see firsthand the caliber and diversity of the social service offerings in our hometowns. Our residents should take great pride knowing these services exist."

The foundation operates four grant cycles per year, one for each focus area: arts, education, food and housing.

The grants awards are for general operating and for projects, primarily to support direct services. Most grants will be for single-year support, but the foundation will consider multi-year support on a case by case basis. They will entertain proposals for capital support on a case-by-case basis.
