The Friends of St. Charles Public Library is holding a Used Magazine and Children's Book Sale on Saturday, Jan. 7.

It will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Huntley Community Room at the library, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

 

Magazines can be purchased in bundles or individually. Dozens of titles in a variety of categories will be available, including home and garden, health and fitness, entertainment, antiques and collectibles, art and photography, cooking, fashion, crafts and more.

There will be a large selection of children's books for all ages and reading levels.

Established in 1979, the Friends of St. Charles Library is committed to raising funds in support of the Library for the benefit and enhancement of its services, programs, facilities, staff, and the community it serves.

The Friends meet three times each year in October, February and June. Meetings are preceded by a potluck dinner or breakfast. The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11, at 9 a.m. in the Huntley Community Room.

Members pay no yearly dues. Membership requirements include attending at least one meeting a year, participating in one activity (i.e. book sale) and serving on a committee if asked.
