Aurora Advent Church hosts youth retreat

Aurora Advent Christian Church hosted "Friends Forever," an annual weekend retreat for midwest teens, on Nov. 18-20.

The Rev. Matt Mull, Aurora pastor, said 50 teens attended from Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri and Ohio.

The theme for the retreat was "Prayer."

The event opened Friday, Nov. 18, with registration, "crowd breakers" in the church gym and worship in the sanctuary.

Saturday activities included morning classes, afternoon recreation free time and a 9 p.m. concert of prayer.

The retreat closed Sunday with a morning worship service.

During his sermon, Pastor Mull reviewed the weekend's highlights and invited youth to reflect on the retreat. Several youth offered testimonies.
