Santa and Mrs. Claus to lead Holiday Parade of Lights in downtown Naperville

The Rotary Club of Naperville, in partnership with the Downtown Naperville Alliance, will host the annual Holiday Parade of Lights on Friday, Nov. 25.

The parade will travel through the heart of downtown under the beautiful twinkling lights.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to celebrate the season! Bundle up and enjoy an evening of festivities, brightly decorated floats and musical entertainment.

Pre-parade entertainment will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the broadcast stage located at the corner of Webster and Jackson streets.

The parade will step off at 7 p.m. from the Centennial Beach parking lot and travel east down Jackson Street. The route will then turn left onto Webster, north to Van Buren where it will pass by the viewing stand. The parade will go west on Van Buren to the end of the route at Naper School. There also will be a special designated handicap viewing area.

Immediately following the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with kids inside the lower level of Naperville Public Library, Jackson and Webster streets. Santa's Workshop will be re-created inside the building, providing games and activities for children while they wait their turn to visit with Santa and share their special requests for the holiday season. It will be open until 9 p.m.

Proceeds of the Parade of Lights fundraiser will go to area nonprofits that support diverse populations and the community in meaningful ways, including community and educational programs for youth; food, housing, and employment; and mental health awareness.
