Hanover Park hosting Halloween home-decorating contest

The village of Hanover Park and the Hanover Park Park District are hosting the Spooktacular Home Decorating Contest to recognize the best-decorated homes in town.

Register before Sunday at https://tinyurl.com/3eybeap6. The contest is open to all Hanover Park residents. Registration is free.

All homes registered will be placed on the Halloween Tour Map, which will go active Sunday.

The three award categories are People's Choice Award-Spookiest Home, the Village Board Tour Award and Park District Award. The winners of the People's Choice and Village Board Tour awards will receive a $100 gift card. The winner of the Park District Award will receive a gift basket.

The winners and second-place finishers will be featured in an upcoming Hi-Lighter newsletter. Winners will be announced, Oct. 28.
