Aurora churches to partner for pet blessing Oct. 2

On Sunday, Oct. 2, New England Congregational Church, 406 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora, will host a second annual Blessing of the Animals. The event will take place at 3 p.m. outdoors in the church's garden area south of the church.

The blessing is co-sponsored by NECC and Our Savior Lutheran Church, neighbors on Aurora's west side.

 

A special blessing will be given to each animal by Rev. Dr. Brandon S. Perrine, NECC pastor. Treats will be provided to all attendees.

Liturgy will include readings and responsive prayers. Guitarist Rick Guzman will provide music.
