Ecker Center for Behavioral Health recognizes National Recovery Month each September.

This year's theme, "Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community," reminds people in recovery and those who support them that no one is alone in the journey through recovery. Everyone's journey is different, but we are all in this together. Substance use disorder affects every layer of our society, and solutions must be provided accordingly.

Ecker Center is committed to preventing substance use disorder, providing treatment for those who are still struggling, and offering support for people in recovery with the resources they need to live full and healthy lives.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's 2020 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, over 40 million people aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder, over 14 million adults aged 18 or older had serious mental illness, and over 9 million adults in the United States have a co-occurring disorder.

The overdose crisis continues to damage individuals, families, and communities across the nation.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were over 107,000 provisional drug overdose deaths in the United States between March 2021 and February 2022.

During National Recovery Month, Ecker Center takes the opportunity to thank peer recovery support professionals, counselors, first responders, family members, and everyone working tirelessly to support those in recovery.
