Loaves & Fishes to host Night to End Hunger silent auction Sept. 16

Loaves & Fishes Community Services will host "Night to End Hunger" on Friday, Sept. 16, at Elements in downtown Naperville.

Dionne Miller, ABC7 Eyewitness News Sports Team weekend anchor, will once again emcee the agency's signature fundraising event. Food insecurity and financial duress continue to rise, and more families than ever before need help.

Over the last year, Loaves & Fishes has seen record numbers of people needing assistance and is now serving 5,500 people each week.

Meeting this increased need is made possible through the generosity of the community.

You are invited to raise funds in support of those who face hunger and financial crisis through the "Night to End Hunger" silent auction.

The silent auction is now available for bidding. Items up for bid include weekend getaways, luxury designer pieces, one-of-a-kind gifts and experiences, gift cards to local restaurants, fine wines, and more. To see the complete list of silent auction items and to participate, visit e.givesmart.com/events/r8p/. The auction will close at 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16.

A special opportunity this year is the new Go Brewing Founders Party. Be a part of this premier event celebrating the beginning of Illinois' first non-alcoholic/low-alcoholic brewery. Only 100 tickets are available for the party, being held on Friday, Nov. 4, at the brewery. Proceeds from this event will benefit Loaves & Fishes.

Loaves & Fishes appreciates the support of generous sponsors for the event, including Presenting Sponsor, Readerlink; VIP sponsors Cars.com, IntentGen Financial Partners, Marquette, Water Street, and Century 21 Ryan Hill Group, Wintrust Community Banks.
