The Bartlett Police Department is looking for neighborhoods to host a National Night Out Block Party or to participate in the Neighborhood Lighting Competition on Saturday, July 30.

Bartlett police and the Bartlett Fire Protection District will be visiting all of the participating block parties to determine the best lighted neighborhood, most charitable neighborhood, best overall block party, best participating block party, best themed block party, most spirited block party, best new block party, and most artistic neighborhood.

The award winners will be announced at the 29th annual National Night Out Picnic in the Park on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

The block party request form and the block party and neighborhood lighting competition forms must be turned in to the Crime Prevention Unit before Friday, July 15. An amplifier permit application is also required for anyone operating a loudspeaker or amplified device. This form must be turned in to the Planning & Development Services Department with a $15 fee.
