Northwestern Mutual-Chicago names Carrie Deveney as director of development and recruitment

With the proven ability to lead and develop others, Carrie Deveney has been appointed director of development and recruitment for the Oak Brook office of Northwestern Mutual-Chicago.

In this newly created role, she will drive growth through effective leadership, from learning and development to attracting and retaining engaged and motivated financial professionals.

"This new role increases the strength of our leadership team and our ongoing commitment to developing high impact, high performing teams where everyone belongs," said Chad McQuade, managing director. "Carrie has made substantial contributions to our firm's growth, our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and we are excited to see where this career advancement takes her."

Deveney joined Northwestern Mutual-Chicago in 2020 as Associate Executive Strategy Manager, focused on coaching, developing and accelerating the growth of next-generation advisors. In a collaborative effort, she launched the NM-Chicago Women's Initiative, a coaching and mentoring program focused on developing women personally and professionally.

She is a member of the Northwestern Mutual Women's Field Association, the first of its kind in the industry and was selected to participate in the Northwestern Mutual-Chicago's Committed Leaders Development Program.

Deveney holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Grand Valley State University. She resides in Naperville with her two Boston Terriers.
