Playground ribbon cuttings set for June 14 and 21 in Naperville

Naperville Park District invites the community to the reopening celebrations for two newly renovated playgrounds.

The first event will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Frontier Sports Complex (east side), located at 3415 Book Road. The second will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Kingshill Park, located at 4271 White Eagle Drive.

Neighbors are invited to bring their families and friends to participate in a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, enjoy refreshments and giveaways, and explore the new play equipment.

"Naperville Park District provides more than 70 playgrounds throughout the community," said Director of Planning Eric Shutes. "The equipment is selected based on input from residents in the neighborhood and the layout of the park. The playground pieces are designed to be accessible, safe and fun for all kids."

In the event of inclement weather, the playground celebrations will be rescheduled for 5 p.m. on the following day.

Residents can check the "Cancellations and Closures" tab for the latest updates at www.napervilleparks.org/cancellations.
