Live music, fun for kids at Villa Park Summerfest June 18

Villa Park Recreation's Summerfest will be held from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Ardmore Business District, at Ardmore and Park Blvd. adjacent to the Illinois Prairie Path.

Bring the family out to enjoy live bands, local vendors, great food and beer garden.

Children's entertainment and attractions are available from noon to 5 p.m.

It includes giant inflatables ($10 wristband required), strolling magician and face painter.

The beer garden is sponsored by the Villa Park Chamber of Commerce and the Villa Park Lions Club.

Villa Park Summerfest is organized by Villa Park Parks & Recreation with an effort to try to give back to the Villa Park community in one of the best ways possible - a giant street party!

The entertainment schedule at the Rugaard Gazebo will be:

• Noon: Discover Dance recital;

• 1:30 p.m.: Guitarist and vocalist Scottie Long

• 3:30 p.m.: Milk Out Rage, formerly Minors of Rock;

• 5 p.m.: The Cave Dwellers, Chicago's original 1960s garage band;

• 7 p.m.: Money Beats Soul, performing roots music and fun covers;

• 9 p.m.: Saturday June Band, playing rock 'n roll.
