Browse work of more than 95 artists at St. Charles Fine Art Show

St. Charles has a big weekend ahead with the return of the St. Charles Fine Art Show and other art events to enjoy around the city on Memorial Day weekend.

The St. Charles Fine Art Show will take place on Riverside Avenue between Main Street (Route 64) and Illinois Street in downtown St. Charles. The show will run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 28 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 29, rain or shine.

This award-winning show brings over 95 artists showcasing juried art in a variety of mediums including ceramics, painting, sculpture, jewelry, mixed media, glass and more. All exhibited art is for sale during this free outdoor event.

Make sure to stop by The Jeep Activity Zone for fun children's art activities, browse artwork from up-and-coming student artists from Elgin Community College in this year's Feature Tent and grab a paintbrush to paint on a car. Attendees can also enjoy live local, talented musicians while they peruse through art.

Beyond the Fine Art Show, there will be plenty of other art activities around town. 116 Gallery - located in Mixology Salon Spa - will be showcasing artwork from Jack Magurany, Chris Newman, Lori Small, Deanne Gibson and Jeffrey Equality Brooks. Attendees can also head to St. Charles businesses who are hosting Fine Art Show weekend deals. For details, visit www.stcharlesfineartshow.com/events-around-downtown.
