Ride for Warriors aids military families

Friends of Fisher House Illinois - the 501(c)(3) community-based support group for the Illinois Fisher Houses, comfort homes for active duty military, veterans and families receiving care at Dept. Of Defense or VA hospitals - is hosting a benefit Ride for Warriors on Sunday, May 15.

The motorcycle ride begins at Miller Meadows Forest Preserve, across from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, and ends at the Lake Shore Harley-Davidson dealer on Rockland Road in Libertyville.

Proceeds will be used to support the construction of a new Fisher House near Naval Station Great Lakes, North Chicago, and will serve both the active duty service members, veterans and families receiving medical care at the Capt. James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center. Visit www.fofhil.org.
