Learn more about programs during 'Experience ECC' April 6

District 509 community members interested in attending or learning more about Elgin Community College programs are invited to "Experience ECC" on Wednesday, April 6.

The event will be held virtually via Zoom from 5 to 7 p.m.

Interested individuals need to register at elgin.edu/experienceECC for the link to join.

During the virtual event, prospective students will meet faculty members, learn about ECC programs and academic pathways, gain insights from current ECC students, explore internship and apprenticeship opportunities, and get answers to questions about admissions, financial aid, and support services.

"The Experience ECC virtual open house offer students and their parents the opportunity to discover the academic programs, services, and resources that ECC offers," said Lauren Nehlsen, Ph.D., associate dean, recruitment, and outreach services and Center for Global Engagement. "This is a wonderful opportunity to meet faculty and explore how to get involved on campus. ECC is one of the top community colleges in the nation! Come learn how you can experience all that ECC has to offer, all from the comfort of your own home."

During the event, guests can also learn about:

• University transfer options - Hear from ECC's transfer services department about popular transfer programs and guided transfer pathways

• Career-technical programs - Find a certificate program that is the right fit for your interests.

• Scholarship and financial aid applications - ECC offers an affordable education along with generous scholarships.
