Create your own cardboard vehicle for Palatine's Indoor Drive-In Movie

Experience a performance of "Trolls: World Tour" from behind the wheel of your own creativity at Birchwood Recreation Center, 435 W. Illinois Ave., Palatine, Friday, March 4.

Indoor Drive-In Movie is an event for the whole family from 6 to 9 p.m. Each family supplies their own cardboard box for each child to create a vehicle or stage where they can sit and rock out to "Trolls: World Tour."

While families may bring their own decorations, Palatine Park District will provide goody bags full of decorative materials. Paint and permanent markers will not be allowed.

Car designing will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the feature presentation screening at 7 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to view the movie. Outside food is not permitted.

Sponsors for the event, Greater Family Health and Bach2Rock, will both be on-site and will be providing interactive games, giveaways, and an "instrument petting zoo" before the show. Special thanks to our sponsors for supporting Palatine Park District and the Indoor Drive-In Movie.

Registration is $7 per child and $1 per adult 18 and older; free for kids younger than 1. Space is limited and registration is required.

Registration may be completed in person at Community Center, Birchwood Recreation Center, Falcon Park Recreation Center, or online at palatineparks.org. Registration deadline is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Regardless of age, all participants, including adults and children younger than 1, must be registered.
