The Palatine Township Senior Center has been shifting and adapting to the worldly changes for nearly two years, and its fundraising is no different.
The newest event is an Art & Wine Fundraiser, which will take place Feb. 24.
The first step was gathering art donations. Thanks to community donations, there are more than 50 items available. From paintings and pastel drawings, to ceramics and quilting, the amount of talent in the area is amazing.
The second part is the event, which will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at the center, 505 S. Quentin Road, Palatine.
This will be a presale ticketed event. For $25, attendees will enjoy a flight of wine, with appetizer pairings for each wine, and the ability to walk around to view the creativity, and bid on the artwork. At 5:45 p.m., the highest bidder on each piece will take home their new treasure.
Proceeds will support the programs and services that the Palatine Township Senior Center provides to the seniors in the community.
Tickets are available online at www.ptscc.org, and at the Palatine Township Senior Center.
Thank you to the event sponsors: Brandt Financial Concepts, Inc., Maryann Duffy, Bob Haas, Harbor House, Palatine Park District, and Matt Trembley with State Farm Insurance. Thank you also to all of the art donors.
