Maggie Ogrodny named new director of business services at College of DuPage

In her new role as Director of Business Services at College of DuPage, Maggie Ogrodny will oversee Campus Services, Conference and Event Services, Procurement Services and the college's contracts with business partners including Follett and Sodexo.

Since 2006, Ogrodny steadily progressed through supervisory and management positions at the college based on her exceptional leadership and analytical skills, said COD Vice President of Administrative Affairs Ellen Roberts.

"Maggie has demonstrated that she can manage large projects, lead through change, implement improvements in a structured and methodical manner, and meet challenges as they arise," she said.

Ogrodny has worked in the Business Services Department since 2013, advancing to Support Services supervisor and eventually to Campus Services manager in 2017. She has managed the largest of the three Business Services areas - Campus Services - for the past three years and has made significant improvements to help strengthen the institution.

She led a campus-wide upgraded production equipment initiative that resulted in key cost and time savings for the College, which helped to strengthen student success. In addition, Ogrodny spearheaded the implementation of the inaugural on-campus COVID-19 test sample collection center. This included designing the site set-up, analyzing data to develop the center hours for its highest and best use for hundreds of employees and students, and working with SHIELD Illinois to ensure optimal center usage.

"I look forward to managing several assignments and working hard to foster good relations across departments," Ogrodny said. "I enjoy challenges and treat any issues as opportunities to improve our skills and expand our contribution to COD and the students we serve."

Ogrodny earned her associate degree in Business Management from COD and her bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership at Benedictine University.
