'Peter Pan' musical production benefits scholarship fund

Palatine Park District will be hosting a stage performance of "Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure" at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood St., Palatine.

Opening at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, the show will also have performances at 7 p.m. Jan. 22 and 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23. Box office and lobby will open one hour prior to showtime for ticket and raffle ticket sales.

Palatine dance class performances will be featured before the show and at intermission. All profits from the event will support the Susannah's Gift Scholarship Fund.

Tickets are $10 and available in advance and at the door. Palatine Park District will also be livestreaming the 1 p.m. show Jan. 22. Livestream tickets can be purchased for $5, hosted on Eventbright.

The Susannah's Gift Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Susannah Kist, a longtime Palatine Park District theater and music teacher, who lost her battle with cancer in 2009. The scholarship fund, made possible through the Palatine Park Foundation, assists residents with financial need who would like to participate in park district cultural arts activities.

"We have this wonderful scholarship fund in place, so that students do not need to let funding be a roadblock in pursuing a class in the arts. We would like to get the word out to see more people be able to take advantage of it," said Lisa Swan, Cultural Arts coordinator for Palatine Park District.

Tickets are available through Cutting Hall Box Office and can be purchased in person at 150 E. Wood St., by phone at (847) 202-5222, or online at cuttinghall.org.

A link to Livestream Tickets can be found on the park district's Facebook page and at cuttinghall.org. Additional ticketing fees may apply.

For advance, in-person transactions, the box office will be open one hour prior to each scheduled performance.
