In 2019, two groups, the Elmhurst Men's Chorus and Elmhurst Ladies' Chorus, joined to form the Elmhurst Harmonie.

The roots of this newly merged chorus go as far back as 1894, when the original Elmhurst Maennerchor was founded - only to falter a few years later. Dedicated to keep the tradition alive, it was revived one more time in 1907, becoming the oldest social organization in Elmhurst. In 1936, under the guidance of Ludwig Lohmiller, the Elmhurst Ladies Chorus was born, soon being the largest women's chorus in the area. While working side by side together all those years, in 2019 both choruses finally decided to unite.
