Apply for Random Acts Matter scholarship by March 20

Random Acts Matter is providing two scholarships for the 2021-22 academic year.

This award recognizes one exceptional graduating senior from each of the St. Charles high schools (St. Charles North and St. Charles East) who are committed to making their community a better and kinder place to live.

Random Acts Matter is a local organization with a mission to instigate and mobilize the community to provide care and compassion through random acts of kindness and support.

The award winner will be chosen by the RAM board and recognized at the Senior Awards ceremonies.

Who is eligible to apply for the award? High school seniors in good standing who understand the value of education and embrace learning opportunities inside and outside of school. This $1,000 award is intended to further recipient's education.

Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Application materials include: a completed application; two letters of recommendation that address specific acts of kindness/community service from two adults, one from within the high school and one from a community member; and a 500 -word essay that demonstrates applicant's commitment to providing acts of care, compassion and kindness.

Applications can be accessed at www.randomactsmatter.com/ram-high-school-scholarship and are due completed by Sunday, March 20, by 11:59 p.m.
