Happy Noon Year Party: Do you have kids, age 3 to 6, who can't stay up until midnight? Come ring in the new year early with fun stories, songs and activities during "Happy Noon Year Party" from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the South Elgin Branch, 127 S. McLean Blvd., and in the main library's Meadows Community Rooms. Registration is required.

Alaskan Reindeer Farm: Meet and greet real reindeer on this virtual trip to the tundra of Alaska at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, via Zoom. Sign up for the Zoom link.
