Scouts Clean Up at Roots Community Garden

Scouts from the Dragon Patrol of Palatine BSA Troop 209 enjoyed a beautiful Autumn morning working together to remove spent plants at the Roots Community Garden established and supported by Partners for Our Communities.

Community members, together with volunteers from the POC, plant and harvest the Community Garden throughout the growing season. The garden serves as a fun educational activity for many children and families in the neighborhood, while a substantial donation of fresh produce is made to neighbors in need due to their efforts.
