GivingTuesday is a global giving event that supports nonprofit organizations locally and around the world. This GivingTuesday, Nov. 30, Save-A-Pet needs the community's help to continue to provide a safe haven for animals who are abused, neglected, injured, lost or have escaped euthanasia.
Save-A-Pet is one of the largest no-kill cat and dog rescues in Lake County that operates a full-time adoption center. They give rescued dogs and cats the greatest opportunity for a second chance. At Save-A-Pet, they never put a limit on the amount of care they provide for an animal, and they never give up on them.
Support on GivingTuesday allows Save-A-Pet to continue to work tirelessly to save animals. They do not discriminate against age, health, or any breeds. They do whatever it takes to provide an animal with a second chance and to help that cat or dog find its forever home.
The Save-A-Pet adoption center provides high-quality care for rescued animals to help them heal physically and emotionally. Through their network of animal care providers, including local veterinarians, orthopedic surgeons, veterinary specialists, animal massage therapists, behaviorists, and trainers, each cat or dog can heal based on their unique needs.
Every donation received on GivingTuesday benefits their lifesaving programs.
"Save-A-Pet is a local organization that has a tremendous impact on the community by rescuing, rehabilitating and connecting animals with loving families," said Deb Rabine, development manager.
"We also help to reduce pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering every animal that we rescue. All of this comes at great expense and cannot be done without the support of our community and the individuals who financially contribute to Save-A-Pet."

Save-A-Pet is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and has saved more than 65,000 animals and expanded thousands of families with the love of an adopted pet. GivingTuesday, donations from individuals and adoption fees are some of the sources that fund Save-A-Pet's important work and continue their no-kill mission.
