Elgin's Hoof Woof and Meow Animal Rescue to host open house Nov. 13
Hoof Woof and Meow Animal Rescue, a 100% foster and volunteer- based rescue facility, has relocated from its Gilberts location to the Fox River Plaza at 440J Airport Road in Elgin.
An open house for the general public will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new 2,500-square-foot Elgin center.
"We invite everyone to visit us and meet our adoptable animals, learn more about rescue, and even shop our merchandise for great holiday gift ideas in our new retail area," said Lori Schutt, president of Hoof Woof and Meow Animal Rescue. "Our core volunteer team and board of directors look forward to meeting the community and providing information regarding animal adoptions and our foster program."
The move to the expanded space offers Hoof Woof and Meow Animal Rescue much needed additional space and enhanced image benefits to safely and happily present pets for adoption. There is now a separate meet-and-greet room, storage room, and a medical room for basic vaccines and care.
Established in September 2012, its mission is to eliminate needless deaths and inhumane treatment of all animals by providing qualified foster homes, well-being care and medical attention.
"Our team is committed to finding the right forever homes for the animals in our care to make sure they live happy lives," added Schutt. "Over the years, we have worked with many individuals and families to provided hundreds of animals a brand new life and safe environment."
Light refreshments will be served. Donations to the rescue can also be dropped off at this time.
Hoof Woof and Meow Animal Rescue is a registered non profit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue organization.
