27th annual St. Charles Kick-A-Thon raises funds for local nonprofits

The St. Charles East and North high school dance teams and the St. Charles Unit District 303 community came together on Oct. 8 for the 27th annual St. Charles Kick-A-Thon.

This year's event will benefit Cal's Angels, an organization whose mission is to grant wishes, raise awareness, and fund research to help kids fighting cancer; and Fox Valley Food for Health whose mission is to promote a nutrition-focused community by educating teens and serving those struggling with a health crisis.

Students, families, and staff representing their schools paraded around the football field holding banners and waving at the spectators.

Almost 200 participants locked arms and lined up to kick, laughing as they counted and motivated one another to keep going.

The St. Charles East and North high school dance teams want to thank all the participants, volunteers, and sponsors for making this event possible.
