Gail Borden to host Preview Night for book sale Sept. 15

Gail Borden Public Library's annual book sale returns from Sept. 15-19 at the main branch, 270 N. Grove Ave. in Elgin.

The funds that are generated from the annual book sale have always gone to extremely worthy causes, helping to fund summer reading, exhibits and much more.

There will be thousands of used books, DVDs and CDs for all ages sorted by topic. The items will include coffee table books, cookbooks, new fiction and more. Most of the items are priced at $1 to $2.

There will be a Preview Night with $10 admission on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

The sale continues from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17-18; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19.

COVID-19 precautions will be in place. Currently, masks are required for people aged 2 or older in indoor locations regardless of vaccination status.
