'Fall info Family Fun' with Gail Borden Public Library
It's become a family tradition for many to stop by the Rake-O Family Fall Fest to kick off the season with pumpkins, scarecrows and games.
This year's celebration will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Rakow Branch, 2751 W. Bowes Road, Elgin. Bring your library card to check out some fall-themed books too!
Apples usually don't fall far from the tree but, at this program, apples will be far from the oven at "Baking for Kids: No-Bake Apple Cheesecake with Miss Jen."
The fun begins at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, on Facebook Live at gbpl.info/FBLV. Join Miss Jen to learn how to make a no-bake treat that features fall's favorite fruit. As the treats bake, we will read stories. If you would like to make the cheesecake along with Miss Jen, the recipe can be found at gailborden.info/events.
Looking for a treat other than candy corn to satisfy your sweet tooth?
